Green Building Challenge

Enter the second year of the Lifecycle Building Challenge competition, to shape the future of green building and facilitate local building materials reuse. Submit your innovative project, design, or idea for reducing to conserve construction and demolition materials and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by designing buildings for adaptability and disassembly.

 

Land Trust of Huntsville & North Alabama Adds 40 Acres on Wade Mountain

Through the generous assistance of the Toyota Motor Manufacturing, the Land Trust of Huntsville and North Alabama has added 40 acres to the Trust's Wade Mountain Preserve.  The new addition brings the total acreage of the Preserve to 861 acres. Along with the addition, Toyota has spearheaded a group of local companies to create the Toyota Community Pavilion for Environmental Education.  The new Pavilion will be a feature of the city of Huntsville's Wade Mountain Greenway Trail which connects to the natural trails of The Land Trust's Wade Mountain Preserve.To learn more about these exciting projects, visit The Land Trust website at  http://www.landtrust-hsv.org
